Foundation

It was in 1992 that the Adorno Fathers started their mission in India. They opened their first formation house at Mallikassery (Kerala, India) by the year 1993.

At present we have three houses in India: Adorno Minor Seminary (Mallikassery, Kerala), Adorno Study House for philosophers (Kunnoth, Kerala), Adorno Bhavan for Theologians (Bangalore, Karnataka).

It was Rev. Fr. Mario Salon CRM (Italy; then Superior General) who initiated and realized this mission with the consent of General Council, but was through the hands of Rev. Fr. John Paul CRM (Italy) that this mission grew up and flourished.

Rev. Fr. John Paul served the mission for 17 years and left for Italy by the year 2009. The then, the mission is under guidance of Rev. Fr. Thomas Barbona CRM (resides at Mallikassery) – Delegate of Superior General (resides in Rome, Italy).
