Fr. Ted instructing the children of our parish in South Carolina.
The work of God is unending, even during the hot summer and this is proven in the hardworking members of our community who take up many different apostolates and ministries during the summer months. Fr. Ted left this week for Rome, the Eternal City, after a month at our Order’s Parish of the Immaculate Conception in Goose Creek, South Carolina, where, along with Br. Melvin, he had been helping out, while Fr. Frank, the pastor, attended the General Chapter. Br. Liam, has since taken Fr. Ted’s place in South Carolina. Fr. Ted will soon catch up with Fr. Michael in Rome, as the General Chapter winds to a close this week. Fr. Michael has reported that a new Father General has been elected, as well as a new rector for here in Ramsey. Here at the seminary, life continues, as a couple of us man the house, and await everyone’s return and the arrival of 4 new seminarians: the 2 recently professed brothers from the Philippines and 2 new aspirants. Deo Gratias!
Even our Holy Father is able to take some time off for the summer!
