During the first session of the delegation chapter, the fathers elected two scrutineers and two examiners, each office has its own role in the proceedings of the meeting.
The scrutineers are in charge of the distributing, collecting and counting the ballot. They are sworn to secrecy with regard to the ballot.
The Chapter Fathers elected Fr. Kevin and Fr. Rufino to the office as scrutineers. It is their first time being involved in the delegation chapter and honored with the trust given to them by their confreres.
Fr. Rufino is currently assigned in the propaedeutic seminary in Vinzons, Philippines as the administrator as well as full time vocation director. He is tasked to promote vocations to the religious life and the priesthood in the Church specifically with the Adorno Fathers. His previous assignment was in the parish of St. Anne and St. Jude in Sumter, SC as the parochial vicar for two years.
Fr. Kevin is involved with hospital ministry as a chaplain for two years now at Hackensack Hospital. He resides in the delegation headquarters in Ramsey, NJ. His previous assignment was in Spartanburg, SC as a transitional deacon.
Two examiners were also elected by the chapter fathers; Fr. Ed and Fr. Liam who have been involved in the chapters before. Fr. Ed currently serves as the pastor at Jesus Our Risen Saviour while Fr. Liam is the Rector of the theologate in Lipa, Batangas Philippines.
Their main task during this chapter is to examen all the proposals from the chapter fathers and endorse these proposals to the General Dieta in Rome in the Spring 2022.
The chapter fathers ask for prayers that the proceedings will go will through the inspiration of the Holy Spirit and the intercession of the Holy Founders.
