Our Vision and Mission

We strive to bring the good news of our Lord Jesus Christ by the manner of our lives and mission works. Our vision and mission are expressed in our motto: Ad Maiorem Resurgentis Gloriam – For the Greater Glory of the Risen Christ.

Our Mission Areas

Our missions in Africa (Congo and Kenya), India and the Philippines is where our pastoral demands in the field of social works. We are also planning of opening in fertile areas where we can live out and share the Charism of the Order.

The Heart of our Missionary Activities

The heart of missionary activities of the Adorno Fathers lies in Democratic Republic of Congo, a country in Central Africa. The Adorno Fathers came to this country in 1984 and started the St. Francis Caracciolo mission which started in the village of Nyamillima which grew into a fertile ministry that includes a parish, a hospital, nutrition center and elementary schools that are growing in numbers every year.

In 2011, the Adorno Fathers expanded its mission from Nyamillima to the town of Kaseghe, part of the Diocese of Butembo in Beni, DRC. The missionaries there are ministering to a school that the parish supports and became part of the mission of the Adorno Fathers. The school offers Elementary and Secondary Education. With limited facilities, and amenities of a school, the students thrive to learn every day from their dedicated teachers. The school buildings continue to need repairs and to add much needed items in the classrooms such as black boards, chalks, books, and notebooks.

The mission in Kharumwa, Tanzania began in 2019. Part of the expansion of the Adorno Fathers mission in Africa, the religious assigned work in the parish and the school which offers Elementary Education. The mission is in a poor area and the missionaries work hard to educate the people especially children to alleviate the status of living.

The Adorno Fathers train and support the education of our future religious priest and missionaries in the countries where we are present. We also look after our retired priests and religious who worked all their life to further God’s kingdom on earth.

Support Our Work

365 Child Adoption

Adoption of a child for one year ($365 per year). By means of long distance adoptions from our missions, you will allow poor children to smile by assuring them those things which are necessary for their growth. While the children will remain in their own environment, they will discover that in the world there are not only those who wage war, but there are persons who dedicate themselves to the task of sowing seeds of goodness and love. An adopted child will be happy to find someone, like you, who will love him from afar, keep his picture and cherish the story of his life. The missionaries are the means of this bond of love; they will send each year a photograph of the child with essential information regarding his health and education.

Nutrition Center/Hospital

Many have recovered in our hospital with proper care, but there are many malnourished children throughout the territory of our mission, who are unable to reach the hospital. Due to the gravity of this situation, our mission gave birth to a new project, a Nutritional Center. Our Mission Volunteer Organization is at present dedicated to the realization of this work. Nevertheless, everything is necessary for the operation itself (personnel, equipment) along with the actual gathering up of the many malnourished children in our mission. With 75 dollars a month for three months, you will be able to contribute towards the necessary recovery of a gravely malnourished child. With 25 dollars a month, you will be able to assure nourishment for a host child at our Nutritional Center.

Support our Seminaries

Seminaries are places of formation for those preparing to proclaim the love of God to the world. There are over 100 young men preparing to consecrate their lives and use their talents so as to further the message of the Gospel. They will dedicate themselves to help those who do not have a voice and are denied of their basic fundamental rights (work, food, medical attention, education, etc. By helping the cultural and formative journey of our Adorno seminarians, you are contributing to the knowledge of Christ, the hope and salvation of the entire world. You can support ($775.00) for one Seminarian’s complete tuition for one year in the mission areas. You can also give a free will offering towards our seminaries.

Support our Pilgrimages

From the most famous Passion Play in the World in the tiny woodcaver’s village of Oberammergau, set amidst the backdrop of the beautiful Bavarian Alps to Austria, Italy, Croatia, Mejudorge, Poland, Hungary, Greece, Turkey, the Holy Land and major shrines throughout the world, we take you there for an adventure and spiritually uplifting travels. The Adorno Fathers have been for many years organizing trips and pilgrimages for everyone who wish to experience these beautiful places. The trips include airfare, hotels, transfers and meals. You will not only enjoy and have spiritual benefits from these trips, you also are helping the Adorno Fathers mission worldwide.
